How to Crochet Drops Earrings Free Pattern
Learn how to crochet these drops earrings with this free pattern.
I always consider the structure and stability when I create jewellery with crochet. After all, the jewel will hang around the body and we want it to stay in place no matter what. With that in mind, I designed these earrings.
Beyond that, I wanted a pair of drops earrings because I love the shape!
Have fun creating this stylish pair of earrings for yourself or as a gift to your friends and family, you can have last-minute earrings in one hour! If you use multicoloured threads, change colour between rows or even sew the motifs with different colours, you will have your one of a kind earrings to match your favourite outfits.

Row 2 – CH 1, 2 SC in the same stitch, *1 SC in the next st, 2 SC in the next st. Repeat from * 4 more times until reaching the CH. In the CH space make 3 SC, CH 3, 3 SC. SL ST to the top of the 1st SC. (20 sts + 3 chs)
Row 3 – CH 2, *2 HDC in the next st, 1 HDC in the next st, 1 HDC in the next st. Repeat from * 5 more times until reaching the CH space. In the CH space make 3 SC, CH 5, 3 SC. Make 2 HDC in the next st, 1 HDC in the next st, 1 HDC in the next st. Fasten off. (26 HDC + 6 SC + 5 chs)
Joining Row 3 with invisible join:
With a darning needle, insert the thread in both loops of the 1st st (forward to the back), and then insert the needle in the back loop of the last st. This will form a chain. Weave in the end tails.
Making the earrings:
Pick 2 motifs, with the wrong sides facing, attach new thread and make 1 SL ST in every st of the motif to sew it (in the chain space, make 1 SL ST inside each chain – total of 5 SL ST). Fasten off and weave in the end tails. Do the same with the other pair of motifs.
With the pliers, open two jump rings, place one in the motif and the other in the jump ring to form a chain. Finally, attach the earring hook to the second jump loop. Repeat with the other earring.
Enjoy your new earrings! 🙂
