Burgundy – infinity scarf
This scarf reminds me of those short days in Winter, when you just want to arrive home and drink a glass of red wine.
Everyone likes to feel warm during Winter and everyone has that everyday scarf and takes it everywhere, right? I love to have a small number of accessories that I can wear with almost every cloth I have and these dark colours, the simple and textured fabric have everything to do with me.
It was designed for beginners, for that moment when the single crochet is no longer a challenge and is time to learn and practice a new stitch. The pattern is so simple, you can do it anywhere and you will finish it in a couple of hours.
What about trying different colours or just one colour? I will try other colours because I totally love this fabric, but the name will stay the same, this little one is warm as wine.

I can’t wait for Winter to start wearing it! Well, in Ireland, Winter comes sooner, so I don’t need to wait that long!
Materials list

Stylecraft Aran colour Claret
Hook: 6.0 mm
Scissors
Stitch markers (optional)
Difficulty level: Easy Peasy
Stitch guide and abbreviations – US terms
Stitch – St

Important notes
In rows working with Hdc, the ch2 does not count as a stitch.
To make the stitch in the back loop, insert your hook in the loop of the “V” farthest away from you.
For this colour combination, I made 14 rows using colour claret and 6 rows using black.
Instructions:
Ch 160 (or the number of chains you want for the length) plus 2
Row 1: Hdc in the third ch from hook, hdc all the way to the end of the row. Ch 2, turn.
Row 2: Hdc in the first st, hdc all the way to the end of the row. Ch 2, turn
Row 3-20: Repeat row 2 until the desired width or following the pattern with 20 rows in total.
Fasten off leaving a tail long enough to sew the sides of the scarf. After sewing, wave in the ends. If you prefer, you can skip the sewing part leaving it as a regular scarf.
